Uganda has 350 gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest located in the south-west area of the country. The gorillas are a major attraction and therefore the permits are highly sought after with only a limited number of people allowed to see the gorillas a day. It is necessary to make the bookings in advance.
The age limit of visitors trekking to see the gorillas is 15 years. The gorilla habitat forest can be reached by a domestic flight from Entebbe airport to Kihihi ( 1 hour) or by road (9 hours). It can also be reached from the Rwanda border of Katuna (Kabale) and Chanika (Kisoro).
We recommend you wear comfortable trekking shoes, sturdy trousers.
Transfer from Airport to City Centre.
