Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is in the western region approximately 400 kilometres by road south-west of Kampala, the capital city of Uganda. This park is the second biggest and was renamed after Queen Elizabeth II in 1954.It is famous for the African buffaloes, lions, African leopard, African elephant among others. The park extends from Lake George to Lake Edward connected by the Kazinga Channel which will blow you away with the bask of crocodiles and herd of hippopotamus.

Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is the biggest park in Uganda located 280 kilometres north-west of Kampala and is bi-sected by the Victoria Nile. It has all of the above animals mentioned as well as the African Giraffe. It is also known for its stupendous misty waterfalls that explode violently through a narrow cleft.

Kibale National Park

Kibale National Park is the home for the chimpanzees, other primates and reptiles. It’s not only the best place for chimpanzee trekking in Uganda but one of the best places in the World. These highly social, intelligent and communicative animals will blow you away with their way of life in the forest.

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is per harps one of the richest ecosystems in Africa; with the park forming part of the impenetrable forest, it’s a home of the famous mountain gorillas, over 200 tree species, mammals, birds and elephants.

Kidepo National Park

Kidepo National Park lies in the semi-arid valleys between Uganda’s border with Sudan and Kenya. The park has big game and hosts over77 mammal species as well as around 475 bird species. Its the park with the best and finest wilderness in Africa.

Lake Mburo National Park

Lake Mburo National Park is located approximately 240 kilometers west of Kampala in Mbarara district. Uganda’s smallest savannah national park with over 300 birds and a variety of animals

Semiliki National Park

Semiliki National Park is one of the newest parks in Uganda located in Bundibugyo district. this park is true lowland tropical forest in East Africa. This park lies on the Democratic Republic of Congo boarder with Rwenzori mountains to the south west and lake albert to the north.

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

Mgahinga Gorilla National Park is a park with huge cultural significance in particular for the indigenous Batwa pygmies and sits high in the clouds with an altitude between 2227 and 4127 meters as its name suggests. It was created to protect the mountain gorillas that inhabit the dense forest together with the golden monkeys. this park forms part of the larger Virunga conservation area that lies along the border of Rwanda, Uganda and Congo.

Rwenzori Mountain National Park

Rwenzori Mountain National Park is the park with Africa’s third highest mountain peak and a UNESCO World has various waterfalls, lakes and glaciers.

Mountain Elgon National Park

Mountain Elgon National Park is the park that intersects the boarder of Kenya and Uganda. This park has a variety of bird species and hot springs that are a must see.
